Probably the best pizza we've ever had. We actually found this randomly... the scent of Italy was calling our name when we were fortunate enough to have the windows down at the stoplight right outside the door of this restaurant. Our stomachs leaped and we decided it was lunch time. Since then we've been back almost once a week. I highly suggest the spinach pie if you want something a little different. I don't think you could go wrong with anything though. We've had calzones, strombolis, pizzas and fried mushrooms and everything has been fantastic. Talk about a lucky find... eat there! Drive to get there if you have to. It's worth it.

Food is actually decent. The service is horrible and the manager Don is the reason. The staff and cooks try but this guy needs to be replaced immediately. He constantly lies to customers and forgets to put people's orders in and then blames the customer. He is super slow whether they are busy or not.

The WORST Pizza we have EVER had!!!! I had the veal parmigiana and it was pure CRAP!! My wife and I have owned two very large diners in Florida along with a fast food joint in the Boca Raton mall so we KNOW FOOD! DON'T WALK, RUN FROM THIS DUMP! The veal was a cheap 'frozen' off-brand, which if the provider was any good my meal would of tasted better a little. They must get the bottom of the bottom wholesale food delivered. There's no reason to eat here, none!! Do yourself and family a favor and pick another joint.

Food was ok. Better than anything else in Green Cove. Service was REALLY slow. I got the White pizza and it was ok. My mom got the meat sauce with spagetti and she really liked it. It is decent food for a small town. Better than eating fast food.

The food is fantastic (my family has had pasta primavera, lasagna, eggplant parmesan, garlic knots, and pizza). Always pipping hot when it's served, very fresh, and yummy. The service leaves something to be desired but as long as you're not in a rush, the blah service is worth it.

Use to come here all the time and do take out. Guess they changed staff a few months ago and one of the owners, male one is now or was working the phones. He is abrupt and rude, does not listen! When I repeated the order for third time, Two house salads with chicken, one blackened, one not blackened just grilled he rushed me off the phone and I knew something was wrong but he would not listen. I just got home from an exhausting flight and just wanted someone to cook for me. Hubby pucks up salads..I got one house salad with blackened chicken and one plain salad NO Chicken! I had lettuce in my frig if I just wanted bloody lettuce! When I called to complain he blamed it on me. I told him it was him rushing me off phone and he would not listen then or now..he then tells me the computer said only one chicken. Don't tell me what you erroneously imputed into your computer. I then explained to him it would never happen again And it won't because I will never return. I was a regular, I never had dealt with him and I was shocked to get such an rude attitude in our small town.

This is a busy little place... but that is a good thing and the food is definitely worth waiting for!

This place is a dichotomy. I think they recently changed managers. Anyway, we had dinner here the other night (Feb 9th). Food was good and inexpensive. The service was well below average. Our server was more interested in socializing with peopel she knew than in providing service. We will probably go back because we like to patronize the business in town, but this was a disappointment.

My last review said the pizza at D'Fontana was "not great." I was ordering by the slice though. I finally ordered a whole pizza, and, "wow!" I was wrong. The pizza is some of the best I've ever had.

Very good lunch specials. The pizza and calzones are some of the best in the area.

The food is delicious, but twice now, one of our party's food order was forgotten. Actually both times it was my wife's order. Apologies, and here is your order, after everyone else has eaten. She takes it home to eat. We will eat there, but not nearly as often as we would have. I recommend you double check with the wait staff about status of your order.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
